Another card from Westwood LA. It seems having been taken from a similar perspective like the previous card. The spike-type tower 'Panamericana' is now visible close to the palm tree. Cars visible: 1946/47 and 1949 Oldsmobiles, 50's Buick, Studebaker. Text boasts:
A shopping center par excellence. Fascinating shops and swank department stores serving residential areas of Beverly Hills, Bel-Air, and Brentwood.

Stardust Hotel - Las Vegas NV
Stardust Hotel - Las Vegas NV

The Stardust hotel in Las Vegas was once the biggest hotel in the city. Visible are a '58 Chevrolet, a blue Lincoln and more. The Stardust Hotel opened in 1958, it shuts down these days. Billy Daniels is announced on the advertising board. Interesting to note that the famous letters, visible on the advertising board and the roof, were replaced in 1991. Helevetica typeface was then advertising the place - like zillion of other hotels. Another piece of special 50's design style is finally gone.
In 2007 it was finally torn down. This event, accompanied with flashes and fireworks you can see on a video at YouTube.
