Westwood Village - Los Angeles CA
Westwood Village in Los Angeles, CA. We can identify a 1949 Oldsmobile, a Packard, a Buick and a Chrysler (the car behind the Oldsmobile).
Westwood Village is ultra-modern, different
in every respect, in a land of unusual com-
munities. Smart shops, intimate restaurants,
outdoor skating rink and the college atmos-
phere, all lend to make Westwood one of the
most unusual and picturesque of California's
newer cities.
Westwood Village in LA, 15 years earlier. This is most probably a pre-war card. The inscription on the tower in the distance I can barely see. Most likely it reads 'Panamericana'. The closer tower on the left carries advertising for 'Chevron Supreme'. Both towers and the rounded are also visible on the card above.
There is nothing printed on the back. The person wrote this card to Belleville, Wisconsin: 'We are having a great time. Seeing all the interesting places. Today we are going up to Veras.' Who the heck is 'Veras'?
